A lightweight, no compromise adventure bike with outstanding reliability opens up a new world of possibilities.
The Ténéré 700 World Raid is the latest in a series of adventure machines that runs all the way back to the ever celebrated Ténéré 600, released in 1983. The Ténéré line is now, and has always been, about exploration, about getting into the wild and chewing up miles on a bike that can take a beating. It’s two wheels, an engine and a monster fuel tank that’s engineered to get the rider from A to Z. The 2018 Ténéré 700 World Raid is a world hopping event that shows Yamaha never lost their sense of adventure.
Taking the Ténéré 700 out into the world isn’t just about getting in front of the people, it’s about bringing the people along on the ride of a lifetime. The 2018 Ténéré 700 World Raid crosses continents, features some of the greatest names in rally and demonstrates what the Ténéré 700 World Raid is capable of on every type of terrain, in all weather conditions, at all times. Come and live the dream with the Yamaha ambassadors and read on to find out more about the project, the bike and the names involved.
Bursting at the seams with the Ténéré spirit and all that brings with it, this is a bike that can take the willing adventurer on any path they choose. The machine growls with a 689cc CP2 enginge providing all the power you need and with the low weight and slim chassis, you can traverse whatever the wilderness throws at you and conquer any adventure you take.
The steel chassis combined with the carbon fibre panelling mean the bike is light and agile, providing excellent on- and off-road handling. The Ténéré 700 World Raid has a lower profile than the T7 Concept, meaning the final production model will be open to a larger audience, giving adventure to the masses. The pilot area has been expanded as well since the T7, giving ample room for navigation devices and anything else the intrepid rider might need when they find their way to the middle of nowhere.
